22 March 2016, 8.30am - 12 noon, Village Hotel, Cobalt Business Park, North Shields

The Great North Maths Hub is extremely pleased to welcome back Wendy Mitcheson as part of the team.  This session has been organised due to popular demand, and we are delighted to have Wendy impart her extensive knowledge of Singapore Maths.

In this session, Wendy will share key principles behind Singapore Maths and introduce you to the Singapore Bar, and how the bar can be used as a tool for solving word problems.  There will be opportunities to look at children's work from a school which has recently adopted the Singapore approach.  Wendy will also explain how embedding aspects of Singapore Maths, can support our Mathematics curriculum.
